Donnie Walsh

elestial hex on the Knicks, from heaven, trying to make sure the Knicks season goes down in flames. Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni, have worked overtime to make sure the team is composed of willing scrappers that want to fight their way in the playoff rounds. The team should play with a purpose and everyone will be focused. How do I know this? Of course I don't but if you read Alan Hahn's blog, who writes for Newsday, who is owned by Cablevision, that also owns The Knicks, he'll tell you that he saw the team play with "intensity". The Knicks played "hard, entertaining, and encouraging". I interpret that as, they will play inspired all season.

I hope that Mr. Donnie Walsh goes out there and gets Ramon Sessions. This young baller out of Nevada can be Raja Bell like for Mike D'Antoni's Knicks. No, he won't guard the two, but he can be

The Knicks are headed in the right direction. Although I think Donnie Walsh is old school, I love the consistency the teams he control has. He seems like the type of President willing to listen to well thought out ideas.  Mike D’Antoni was a great hiring, and Mark Jackson or Patrick Ewing would have been a nice story to write, but Coach D’Antoni has won 60 games before. I am glad that we were unable to get J-Kidd.  He is a great player, but we don’t want the Knicks to stay an old team. We also don’t need New Jersey’s traded player. He showed Marbury who the better point guard was, after Marbury claimed he was, back in 2005. That’s a side point. I believe in Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, and even David Lee. We just need to surround these guys with players willing to do the thinking on the court, and be the leader. Sounds a lot like J-Kidd, it’s just that some players don’t need to be a Knick. Much like Penny Hardaway, or Glen Rice, a former great that was just a few years late. I like how the free agency market has opened up for the organization now and I the future.

nd play like that could have gotten them into the playoffs, but then the financials got in the way. Donnie Walsh felt that, ( or so it appears) waiting for the end of the season to make moves for 2010 would be too long. Jamal Crawford was traded on Nov 21, for  disgruntled Al Harrington from Golden State, (a player i thought the Knicks could have benefited from trading for) although he has a termination clause after this season. They traded away Zach Randolph and Marty Colllins a couple of hours later on the same day for Cuttino Mobley and Tim THomas. These moves gave the Knicks great opportunity to lose game after game after game. Cuttino Mobley retired, after doctor after doctors told him his hyperthrophic cardiomyopathy progressively got worse. Although they couldn't predict that he would have to retire, they also didn't think that these guys would ever really make it to the playoffs, how could they?

New general manager, Donnie Walsh has made the departure of Marbuy and his $22 million contract, the first priority.  D'Antoni may try to lure two of his players from the Sun's he so coveted in his "run-and-gun" style of play.  Foward, Boris Diaw and Shooting guard, Leandro Barbosa have been unhappy with the front office of Phoenix and may want to follow their coach to the big apple.  A proposed trade has been rumored sending Marbury back to Phoenix for Barbosa and Diaw.
