The drafting of Vernon Gholston didn't seem like the right move to a lot of NFL analysts but fans saw it as the Jets finally adding a speedy pass rusher. I mean hey he was the only guy who seemed to know how to get past fellow AFC East Dolphin's 1st overall pick Jake Long in college. With the hiring of Ravens DC Rex Ryan, Jet fans have to be wondering if maybe this guy can get more out of Gholston. Everyone kept talking about how Gholston was a rare physical specimen and that he would take a little to develop but how long can New York fans/media be patient? Something like this just does not seem like it would have happned in Baltimore with their defense rarely leaving the top 10 in the NFL on an annual basis. It would be crazy to think Gholston will turn into Terrell Suggs overnight but at least being able to get on the field and contribute would be a ray of hope to Jet fans.
