Rumors have been swirling around of the New York Knicks making a trade. (What a surprise) With the hiring of head coach, Mike D'antoni the Knicks are now shopping disgruntled point guard, Stephon Marbury. Marbury was under D'Antoni a couple years back in Phoenix and the two didn't get along. New general manager, Donnie Walsh has made the departure of Marbuy and his $22 million contract, the first priority. D'Antoni may try to lure two of his players from the Sun's he so coveted in his "run-and-gun" style of play. Foward, Boris Diaw and Shooting guard, Leandro Barbosa have been unhappy with the front office of Phoenix and may want to follow their coach to the big apple. A proposed trade has been rumored sending Marbury back to Phoenix for Barbosa and Diaw.

The first order of business for the Isles in this offseason is to attract anybody possible to bring in some scoring. Even as an Isles fan, it was nauseating watching that offense last season. One player with a realistic shot at landing on the Island is centermen Daymond Langkow from the

Craig Byer:
Only two years removed from a National League Championship Series loss in seven games to the Cardinals, the New York Mets looked promising entering the 2007 campaign. Flash-forward to September 2007, the Mets successfully completed one of the worst collapses in baseball history.
As Mets fans were searching for something to cheer for in 08’, it came in the form of a trade. The Mets acquired arguably the best pitcher in the game when signing Johan Santana this February. He is sure to strengthen the rotation and moreover, help put the 2007 Mets in the past. One might presume receiving the best pitcher in the game would guarantee a lock for a division title, but not for these Metropolitans. Certainly, the addition of Santana helps bolster a strong rotation from front to back, but the Mets are not the clear-cut winners of the National League East. Not yet at least.

NY Jets Draft Preview
When it comes to the NFL draft, Jets’ fans have just about been through it all. It feels like it was only yesterday when Madison Square Garden was chanting “We Want Sapp… We Want Sapp.” Then Paul Tagliabue came to the podium and said the Jets selected tight end, Kyle Brady from Penn State University. The vivid image of Jets fans burying their heads in their hands has become far too common.
It’s time for a change.
Thanks to a meaningless win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the final game last season, the New York Jets now own the sixth pick of the NFL draft, rather than the fourth. This small difference of just two picks could turn out to be monumental for the Jets’ bright future.

Jets strike gold in fourth round, yet Again?
The best move the Jets made in free agency, may have been the one they chose not to make. Rumors speculated, Pro Bowl cornerback Asante Samuel would reunite with his old defensive coordinator, now Jets head coach, Eric Mangini. It turned out Samuel took flight for a different team, the Eagles. Samuel went on to sign a $57.3 million contract, playing in Philadelphia for the next 6 years.
The Jets may have saved themselves $56 million dollars and acquired a future Pro Bowler in the process. Dwight Lowery was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of this year’s NFL draft. The cornerback from San Diego State University has put together quite the resume, twice being named an All-American by the American Football Coaches Association. It didn’t take long for opponents to recognize, Lowery’s ball hawking skills. Lowery recorded four interceptions last year while recording a school-record nine as a junior for the Spartans.
