At first glance last week may have appeared to be an easy task for the New York Jets, playing a team who went 1-15 last season, but most failed to realize how hard of a challenge was actualy delt to them. The gang green were on the road playing a division rival witch many fans will realize by seasons end is one of the most improved teams in the NFL under new VP and director of football operations Bill Parcells. The Jets were also facing a quarterback in Chad Pennington who played for the Jets for 8 seasons two of witch were under head coach Eric Mangini witch would help the Dolphins game plan against the Jets, having known offensive and defensive schemes inside and out as you could obviously see last Sunday.
Brett Favre looked exceptionally well despite only knowing a small portion of a new offense. He may not have put up huge Favre type numbers, but he did what he does best, win. The new look New York defense looked iffy at times allowing Pennington to complete 26 of 53 pass attempts for 251 yards and two scores but it did seem that when the coaching staff decided to pressure Pennington and the 'Fins offensive line they looked more like the defense Jet fans had expected, fast, explosive and a challenge to any NFL opponent.
